I'm Lisa, the owner of Lisa Velez Photography. I'm a photographer located on beautiful Guam. I specialize in newborn, children, maternity, and family photography. My style has been described as clean and vibrant. I love rich colors and incorporating the warmth of the sunlight.
I was born & raised on Guam and love the simple things in life including hanging out at the beach and with my family. I love to travel and spent 10 years living off-island, but realized I'll always be an island girl at heart and returned home for good in 2013. I graduated from the University of Washington and after having my boys, I switched careers from School Psychologist to owner of two small businesses. As a military spouse, I had to figure out ways to have a career but maintain flexible enough to care for my boys while my husband was on deployments. My boys were my inspiration to learn photography and I began taking photography classes while I lived in Hawaii several years ago. I always wanted to go to Art school and when it was time to choose between that and graduate school, I chose the more logical option. My children helped me realize that choosing what was in my heart was important and so I made the scary leap into starting my photography business! It's been an amazing journey ever since and I've been honored to work with so many families and babies!
