The Viramontes family moved to Guam a little over a year ago and are full of adventure. They’re a fun-loving family and I wanted to capture this in their photos. This was their first family photo session and I wanted to make sure it was beautiful. I found a spot with beautiful flame trees where the sun hit just right. I really loved the richness and beautiful colors we were going to get from this location! We had some challenges! Guam is pretty unpredictable when it comes to weather. It rained just before their family session and the grass was wet and itchy. We later had to deal with toads and finally had wild pigs running by!! Ohhh....and the cute little puppy in their photos was rescued by our family and these guys decided to adopt her. Her name is Hazel and I'm so happy she found such a great home!! And here are some photos of Hazel with her sisters the day after we rescued them! We ended up keeping the white puppy. Looking for a Guam family photographer? This little girl has to be one of the most adorable little girls ever. I was pretty excited when her momma told me the theme of her birthday party. They were doing a Guam theme since she was born on Guam. She mentioned that she wanted to do her session with latte stones and that she was building her party around the plumeria flower. Latte stones are unique to Guam and the Marianas Islands. They are pillars that were used as support to ancient houses and are unique in their two piece construction topped with a capstone. You can still find real latte stones throughout Guam and the Marianas Islands. They are pretty magnificent when you think about their size and how the Chamorro people were able to construct the latte stones and their houses. I found out from a friend that there were little latte stones at the Government of Guam Complex so I went to check those out. They were super cute little latte stones. Then I was off to check out the latte stones in Inarajan, Guam. I found some plumeria trees while turning around near the latte stones so it seemed like the perfect spot! Now it was time for her session! She wore the cutest plumeria dress and plumeria headband while I photographed her under the plumeria trees. And check out the awesome sign her momma put together all on her own. I was so impressed! She later changed into her cute tutu and her onesie. Her momma did an amazing job making her tutu as well. Every little detail from her Guam seal headband to her plumeria necklace and her onesie with the island of Guam and plumerias worked so perfectly together. It was such a pleasure working with this adorable birthday girl and her momma!! Looking for a Guam photographer to photograph a milestone session? One of the greatest things about being a Guam photographer is being able to capture the lives of growing families. This particular newborn photography session was truly special because I took her momma's maternity photos just a few months prior. As you may recall, Britanny's maternity session was done on Naval Base Guam on a rainy day. Brittany looked beautiful and her photos are some of my favorites! Now baby Airi had arrived and it was time for newborn photos. Brittany really wanted her girl to wear a tutu. She found a cute pink one and brought it to the session. In addition to the tutu we did some photos using wraps that I had on hand. I loved how they turned out! Here are some of my favorites from her session! We had to include Big Sister Ava in the photos as well! As a Guam photographer and mother, Maternity sessions are truly special to me. This blog is all about beautiful Brittany's maternity session. I was so excited to capture this time in her life. We chose to do them at Navy Base Guam so her and her family wouldn't have to travel far. We started out with photos to include beautiful big sister Ava. I love the connection and playfulness between them. This momma LOVES her daughter and I'm glad I was able to capture this in her session. It worked out great that we started with momma and Ava because like many 3 year olds, she soon lost interest in taking photos. We moved on to couple maternity photos and then to individual photos before the rain forced us to end the session. We had a great session even with the rainy weather! The chances of rain on Guam are pretty high, but the sun usually comes through even on the rainiest days and it did for this session. Looking for a maternity photographer located on Guam?
