Karoline and Parker chose a beautiful Guam beach location for their maternity session. Right away, I could tell that they were an easy-going and fun couple. It really was such a fun session! Of course, as we walked down the long path to the rock formations it began to rain. That seemed to be my luck all summer. After it rained, it got so hot and humid. You'd never guess we dealt with that sort of weather because Karoline still looked stunning through it all. At one point we tried to pin up her hair and then it ended up back down just because of the weather we were dealing with! I love how photographs can capture one's personality. My hope is that people are comfortable enough during their session to completely be themselves. While I guide and direct poses, I also try to give enough calm and space for clients to be themselves. You really get to see how fierce and loving Karoline is in these photos. Recently, I got to meet their baby boy during their newborn session! He is such a cutie. It really is such a joy to follow couples behind the lens through this journey into parenthood. Looking for a Guam maternity & newborn photographer? I'd love to work with you! One of my favorite parts of maternity sessions is getting to know parents who are in the same boat as I am with two little ones or one toddler and a newborn on the way! It was fun talking with Lindsay about the parenthood roller coaster that we all experience as parents. Both of our little ones were two and a half at the time and were experiencing the same things. As a momma of a two year old & four year old, I was excited for her to welcome her little boy soon. It’s challenging but there is so much joy that comes from welcoming in a new addition to the family, and watching your first child became a big brother or sister. We did Lindsay's maternity session at Guam's Asan Beach Park. It’s a beautiful park with rows of coconut trees, a nice beach, and grassy field. The sun perfectly sets over this location. I loved Lindsay’s dress. It was casual and something I would wear. Everything went perfect and it was so much fun photographing and chatting with Lindsay! Looking for a Guam maternity photographer? This maternity session was done at one of Guam's beautiful beaches. There's a bit of a trek to get there which allows me to get to know my clients better as we walk to the location. One of my favorite things about being a Guam photographer is getting to meet people from all over the world. As I talked to my clients, I quickly found out that Talyta, the beautiful soon-to-be momma is from Brazil, and her husband's service in the Air Force had brought them to Guam. Brazil is definitely on my list of places to visit so I was excited when she told me that! As we walked in, I noticed how low the tide was. I had never seen it so low at that location! There was almost no water. The sun was super harsh with not a cloud in the sky. As a photographer, this is one of those situations that test you. You have to know how to work your camera and know where to place your subjects to work with what you've been dealt! I know Talyta was a little bummed when we realized we wouldn't be getting the beautiful turquoise waters that you get from Guam, but you have to work with what nature deals and I think her session turned out beautiful anyway. We had talked about wardrobe prior to the session and Talyta picked out a couple of dresses from my collection that she wanted to use during the session. She also brought a few of her own. We managed to fit in four outfit changes. I welcome outfit changes during sessions because I like how different outfits change the feel of the photos! It helps to give a nice variety to client's photo galleries. This session was filled with so much love. It was so apparent how in love Talyta & Marc were with each other and with their baby. They were the nicest couple too. I really am so lucky to have the best clients!! Looking for a Guam maternity photographer? I'd love to work with you! Weston reached out to me for a family session and after exchanging some location ideas we settled on a beautiful Guam location with views overlooking the ocean. Weston was doing this as a surprise anniversary gift. What a great idea! Their sweet little girl was turning one so I made sure to include some photos of the birthday girl! It was a gorgeous Guam day. The sun was shining and the weather was nice and cool. Little Elora explored as one year olds do. She was the cutest little explorer. The beautiful Guam hillside, sunlight, and this family made for a beautiful session! Looking for a Guam family photographer? I'd love to work with you! Jennifer's maternity session was beautiful. It was fun getting to know her and her family as we walked to and from this beautiful Guam beach location. Jennifer is from Germany and it was so cool to hear her talking to her little boy in German. Her little one was just the cutest. I love that many of the maternity sessions I get to do include their families. It's an exciting time with big transitions and it's always so special to capture those fleeting moments before their families welcome in a new addition. This particular family is welcoming another baby boy! As a momma of two boys, I really get how special it is. It's awesome to see the bond between my boys and I'm excited for her little one to welcome a little brother into his life. Here are some of my favorites from this beautiful maternity session! I'm excited to blog Travis & Jennifer's engagement session because it was a first for me! I normally don't photograph engagement sessions but I made an exception when Jennifer contacted me. Travis works with my husband and I figured why not give it a shot. I'm so glad I did! I really loved how their session turned out. I see so much joy when I look through their gallery of photos. So much laughter filled this session and I love how every time they would break out in laughter, Travis would adoringly look at Jennifer. Laughter, love, and this gorgeous Guam backdrop was a recipe for a beautiful session! I know that these two are destined for a lifetime of happiness. Looking for a Guam Photographer? Jacque contacted me to book a family session with her husband coming home for a brief time from Korea. She had some things in mind but told me she wanted raw moments and was up for anything. While I love pretty poses and smiles, I'm happiest when I capture your moments, so I'm always excited when clients tell me that's what they want from their session. I sent Jacque some location ideas and we coordinated a beach session with beautiful Guam cliffline views. The Tuncaps were so photogenic and their cute dog Molly was prepared to smile at the camera as well! I loved capturing the bond between sisters and the connection between the entire family.
I was really excited to meet baby Connor since I photographed his momma's maternity session a month before at Tarague Beach on Andersen Air Force Base. He was so adorable with all his cute little expressions. Connor had me smiling the entire time! I couldn't get enough of his expressions and his cute little noises he made throughout his newborn session. What I love most about being a Guam Photographer is being able to capture families grow and evolve. I love that I was able to be a part of capturing two incredibly important times in this family's life. Here are some of my favorites from Connor's newborn session! The Mendez family holds a special place in my photography journey. We met almost 3 years ago at a command event and they've been in our lives ever since. I've had the honor of capturing everything from birth announcement, maternity, newborn, and family photos over the years. One of my favorite things about being a photographer is being able to see families grow and I've been able to do this with the Mendez family. Not only have I seen the Mendez family grow but they've helped me grow so much in my photography. Brittany always puts her trust in my location decisions. I had been eyeing a spot for what seemed like forever and of course, Britanny was game. I was hoping for some beautiful sunlight but instead got rainy weather and gloomy skies, but it all worked out great. I'm sad that their journey on Guam will be ending soon, but happy they will be moving closer to family. Our families have grown close over the years and this is truly one of the hardest things about military life. Leaving those you grow close to is never easy, but hopefully our paths will cross again in the future! I really am so grateful to the Mendez family. Brittany has played a huge part in making this photography vision of mine come together and it means more to me than she could possibly know. Thank you Mendez family! My family and I will miss you!! I couldn't have been more happy when Gianna contacted me about family photos and explained what she envisioned for her session. Trees, grass, sunlight...these three things should be easy enough for a photographer to find on Guam, right? I drove around the island to find the perfect spot. The perfect spot happened to be a random spot in the Guam hills. I was so happy that Gianna trusted me with this location. Not only was it everything we were looking for, but there were beautiful wild orchids everywhere! I drive by these hills all the time and never quite realized their beauty until I was preparing for this session. We had the perfect spot. Now it was time for their session! I loved how they coordinated their outfits, and their little guy was the cutest in his bow tie and hat. After weeks of Guam's rainy weather, we finally had sun the entire day! It all worked out perfectly. Here are some of my favorites from the Santos family session! Looking for a Guam Photographer? I'd love to work with you!
